Could you please visit the following web site, read opinions and facts from residents of these streets and feel free to leave a comment yourself... I am fed up with the council ignoring this issue...so much so I am considering running for office myself, using safe streets as a platform. I would be interested in your feedback RE the site and what immediate action you propose.

I have raised this matter in the past (prior to my current role) and have had it referred it to Council’s Traffic Committee.
I will now take the matter forward with The General Manager and Director Engineering services. I will get back to you.

ReplyDeleteThe acknowledgement is good. I am hoping that Tim is able to return with some viable considerations.
Also note that whenever council appears to have done traffic surveys (those cords across the road), they are done during holiday periods. This would typically result in a lower than normal traffic volume (therefore an inaccurate representation).

I note it is now April 28th. Our Mayor is a little tardy in replying isn't he. Or is he just like other politicians with " Let me get back to you on that...and maybe you will just go away".
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile....back on the street..the cars are travelling just as fast, just as dangerously. When one of our children is killed maybe he might respond!
